Home Cooked Dog Food Made Simple

My Approach

Ned’s Kitchen is a place for dog owners looking to feed fresh, home made meals, made to a professional standard, but unsure how to achieve complete and balanced meals at home.

We want to take the stress and worry out of home cooking, providing simple, instantly downloadable recipes, that anyone can cook.

We know dogs are individuals, so we also offer custom made recipes for any dogs that might need abit of extra care.

We balance our recipes to FEDIAF guidelines and by feeding quality whole foods, home cooking offers a much more superior nutritional profile than commercial diets.

Ned’s kitchen started from a place of love for our Ned, he gives us so much joy, he deserves the very best, and you can do the same for your beloved dog, they are worth it.

A young woman with tattoos on her leg and wearing hiking boots is sitting on a wooden deck with her hand on a brown spaniel dog. She is smiling, and they are in front of a blue house with white siding and a screen door.

Digestive Reset Diet - for suspected food intolerance
£150.00

A digestive reset diet is a temporary, gentle dietary approach used to calm digestive inflammation and support gut recovery.

Food intolerances are not immune-mediated. Instead, they occur when the digestive system becomes irritated, overwhelmed, or imbalanced.

Because of this, symptoms often fluctuate from day to day.

Purpose

The goal is to:

• Reduce digestive workload
• Calm inflammation
• Support gut lining repair
• Restore microbiome balance

This approach focuses on healing the gut, rather than permanently eliminating foods.

Key Features

• Simple, highly digestible ingredients
• Short-term use (usually 4–6 weeks)
• Gentle on the digestive system
• Not as strict as an elimination diet
• Foods can usually be reintroduced gradually

When Is a Digestive Reset Diet Needed?

This approach is commonly used when dogs experience:

• Intermittent digestive upset
• Acid reflux or sensitivity
• Loose stools that come and go
• Bloating or gut discomfort
• Signs of gut inflammation without allergy symptoms

Tailored Recipe Consultation
£150.00

This consultation is ideal for owners who would like personalised, home-prepared recipes designed specifically around their dog’s individual needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.

It is suitable for dogs who may:

• Need certain ingredients avoided due to known or suspected food allergies or intolerances
• Be fussy eaters who will only accept specific foods
• Benefit from age-appropriate nutrition, such as leaner proteins for senior dogs
• Require increased support from nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids to help maintain joint health
• Simply need a tailored transition to a balanced home-cooked diet while excluding specific ingredients

You can choose which foods you would like to avoid or include, allowing recipes to be created entirely around your dog’s unique needs.

What’s Included in Your Consultation

• A telephone consultation to discuss your dog’s current diet, history, and nutritional needs
• Two bespoke, fully balanced recipes tailored to your dog
• A detailed nutritional breakdown
• General feeding and dietary guidance

Elimination Diet Guide
£10.00

An elimination diet is a strict diagnostic process used to identify whether a dog has a true food allergy.

Food allergies involve the immune system reacting to a specific protein, meaning even tiny exposures can trigger symptoms. Because of this, the diet must be followed very carefully.

Purpose

The aim is to identify specific allergen triggers so they can be permanently avoided.

This is not simply about improving symptoms — it is about finding the exact cause.

Key Features

• Very strict — no treats, scraps, flavoured medications, or extras
• Uses a novel or hydrolysed protein source
• Typically lasts 6–12 weeks
• Followed by a controlled reintroduction phase
• Used to diagnose true allergies, not just digestive upset

When Is an Elimination Diet Needed?

This approach is usually recommended when dogs show signs such as:

• Persistent itchy skin
• Chronic ear infections
• Ongoing inflammation
• Non-stop gastrointestinal symptoms
• Symptoms that do not fluctuate

This is a Downloadable PDF guide, to help you complete a elimination diet successfully.

Weight Management Consultation
£150.00

Feeding a carefully balanced homemade dog food can be especially beneficial for dogs struggling with weight issues, as it gives owners complete control over ingredients, portion sizes, and calorie density. Unlike many commercial diets, homemade meals can be tailored to include lean, high-quality proteins to support muscle mass, fibre-rich vegetables to promote fullness and gut health, and appropriate fats to maintain energy without excess calories. This personalised approach helps avoid unnecessary fillers, hidden sugars, and over-processed ingredients that can contribute to weight gain. When properly formulated, a homemade diet can support steady, healthy weight loss while still meeting a dog’s nutritional needs, improving mobility, energy levels, and overall wellbeing.
